U.S. Marine Corps Rifle Marksmanship / MCRP 3-01A (M16A2 Rifle) - Basically, this manual is better described as M16A2 service rifle marksmanship, maintenance, training, and usage. The wire-coil bound manual is 116 pages long and 8-1/2-inches by 11-inches in size with a 19-mil thick water/oil proof cover and back. The manual contains information and numerous pictures on: M16A2 weapon operational controls (selector lever, magazine release, charging handle, bolt catch), cycle of operation, ammunition, preventative maintenance, field maintenance, rifle operation and function checks, weapons handling, clearing procedures, marksmanship fundamentals, various firing positions, use of cover and concealment, weather and other environmental effects on the rifle's condition, zeroing in the M16A2 rifle, basic field tactics, engagement techniques (detection, range identification and estimation, offset aiming, two-shot fire, burst fire techniques, etc.), and the M16A2 rifle front and rear sight system and adjustment. U.S. Marine Corps Rifle Marksmanship and Data Book for U.S. Rifle, 7.62-MM, M-14 & U.S. Rifle, 5.56-MM, M-16 - nearly 100 pages of rifle data for your M1A, M14, AR-15 and/or M16. The original manuals that the Government Printing Office (GPO) has printed are very cheap; so I used a waterproof cover and back; used plastic coil binding for easy opening vice two staples; used 67 lbs inside cover & back; and used thick, non-bleed through heavy 24# double-sided paper - so you don't have to see through to the next page. You can buy yourself an $8.00 or $10.00 cheap GPO book on one of the auction sites, or spend $2.00 more for a great semi-permanent book you can use for years and years into the future - that works and looks great!

The M16A1 Rifle Operation and Preventive Maintenance (01 July 1969) - U.S. Army Pamphlet issued throughout the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. This manual is in color and has been reproduced in 8-1/2 X 11 size (because the original size was too small for my poor eyes to see without straining). Self-explanatory on what the pamphlet explains in pictures and written word. The pamphlet consists of 32 color pages. Here are some pictures of what the pamphlet looks like: Cover, Typical Pages, and Back - actually a pretty impressive pamphlet! The paper is 24# bright white (102+) with the book being plastic wire bound. This book can be placed on the shelf in your workshop for easy reference. The book also opens and lays flat, so you can work on your rifle and observe your manual simultaneously.
